By configuring the default settings in RMMMax for new clients and agents, you save yourself a lot of time enabling agents for each of the different tools in RMMmax. RMMmax is a toolbox for Windows , Mac and Linux agents that allows for the management of that tool on the end agents in your RMM environment. You may choose to enable or disable any tool in RMMmax and by default all tools are disabled until enabled for an agent.
Reasons You may choose not to enable default settings:
- Metered deployments – You only want certain agents or clients enabled.
- Testing – Using limited account and deploying manually.
Reasons you would use default settings:
- Want automated on-boarding of new clients and agents.
- Simple management of RMMmax application.
- You have a lot of agents to manage.
Tech Tip: If you enable you client and agent defaults before you sync the first time with your RMM or after a Client Data Purge. Any client or agent that synced with RMMmax will take on the new default settings.
