Mac Agents Needs A Sudo User

For the Mac agents to be able to install all types of software, will require permissions to be presented during the installation and update processes. We provide a secure manner to present the agent with the correct credentials needed to manage the Homebrew package manager.

Add A Sudo User

First select one or more enabled Mac agents from the agent list under the Software Manager. Navigate to Settings / Configure / Mac / Set Sudo menu item.

This will launch the Set Sudo dialog box and allow you to set the Sudo User for one or more agents at once.

Validate Sudo User Is Set For Agent

Select the agent from the agent list and navigate to the Software Manager tool. The agent view will display the sudo user if set for Mac agents only. You can click the sudo user here to reset the Sudo use or password used by Sudo user.

No Package Scans are possible without a Sudo User set.
