Options (Cleaners)
BleachBit includes a variety of options (cleaners) designed to remove unnecessary files and free up disk space. Here are some of the key cleaners available:
Web Browsers
- Cache: Deletes cached web pages and files to free up space.
- Cookies: Removes cookies stored by websites to protect privacy.
- History: Clears browsing history to maintain privacy.
- Session: Deletes session data to ensure privacy.
System Files
- Temporary Files: Removes temporary files created by the operating system.
- Logs: Deletes system and application logs to free up space.
- Clipboard: Clears the clipboard history to protect privacy.
Applications
- Office Software: Cleans temporary files and recent documents lists from office applications like Microsoft Office and LibreOffice.
- Media Players: Deletes cache and history from media players like VLC and Windows Media Player.
- PDF Readers: Removes temporary files and history from PDF readers like Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Advanced Cleaners
- Wipe Free Space: Overwrites free disk space to ensure that deleted files cannot be recovered.
