Both the client and agents under client need to be enabled before data capturing starts to take place. Enabling the client is like turning on the master switch. With this one action you can stop all collections across client for all enabled agents.
Enable Your Client
To enable the client, Select the Settings menu and then the Settings menu item. This will launch the setting form.
The settings form allows you to configure the retention settings for the logs and enable the client for SurfLog scanning. This setting is independent of the agent settings. If client is disabled for scanning the agents regardless of status will also be unscanned as a result.
Enable Your Agents
Once you enabled the client thus turning on the master switch, you can enable one or more agents allowing data to be collected from them.
To enable agents, select one or more agents from the SurfLog agent list. Select the Settings menu and then the Enable / Disable menu item to toggle the selected agent’s data collection status
