Over the past three weeks, RMMmax has shipped one of the most significant multi‑module updates in the platform’s history. A Brand New Linux Agent — Lightweight, Self‑Contained, and Built for Scale

One of the most anticipated additions in this cycle is the new Linux agent, a fully self‑contained Python implementation designed for reliability and zero‑dependency deployment.

Key capabilities include:

  • Zero pip dependencies — ships as a single Python file
  • Interactive registration & re‑registration
  • Token rotation & secure command execution
  • Status reporting & graceful deregistration
  • systemd service with auto‑restart
  • Multi‑distro installer with automatic Python 3 installation when needed

This agent brings Linux endpoints to first‑class status in the RMMmax ecosystem, enabling consistent management across Windows, macOS, and Linux fleets.

Reboot Manager — Fully Implemented and Ready for Production

The new Reboot Manager delivers end‑to‑end reboot orchestration with:

  • Backend models and Celery automation
  • REST API endpoints
  • A polished Vue UI with per‑agent cards
  • Enable/disable toggles
  • Patch‑schedule dialogs
  • A new “Manage Reboot” menu entry

This module gives administrators precise control over reboot workflows — essential for patching, compliance, and uptime management.

CVE Intelligence — Now with PDF Reporting

Security teams can now export per‑agent CVE intelligence PDFs directly from the Commands menu.

Behind the scenes, a new pdf_report.py module powers the export, and four new RMM-provider modules expand the available CVE data sources.

Update Manager Enhancements — Visual Patch Scores & PDF Export

Update Manager received a major UI and workflow upgrade:

  • Color‑coded patch‑score bar (grey when no data)
  • PDF export option
  • Condensed schedule grid (one row per OS category)
  • New “Last Update” column in the agent table
  • Multi‑agent selection for bulk enable/disable actions

These changes make patch management faster, clearer, and more actionable.

Independent Agent Support — Expanded Across Major Modules

Independent agents now integrate seamlessly with:

  • BleachBit (all major dispatch functions updated)
  • Windows Defender (all 10 dispatch functions updated)
  • BitLocker (encryption method changes, management, key protector operations)
  • Auto‑queue on registration for both Windows and Linux agents

This dramatically improves flexibility for MSPs and hybrid environments.

Platform Improvements That Make Everything Smoother

Unified CVE Script for macOS & Linux

cve_scan_mac.sh has been merged into cve_scan.sh with automatic OS detection — and macOS now uses only native tools.

LUM Scheduler Fixes & URL Hardening

  • Corrected team filter
  • Removed hardcoded console URLs

Log Field Expansion

All logMessage fields are now TextField() to support long diagnostic output.

Authentication Guard for Periodic Refresh

Prevents unnecessary API calls after logout.

Automatic Free Plan Assignment

Teams without a plan now receive the Free plan automatically, preventing silent failures.

  • Correct JSON parsing for command results
  • Proper 404 handling for missing agents

Stripe / CSP

  • Updated CSP headers to improve Stripe functionality

Admin Dashboard

  • Fixed login counts chart rendering
